Ziplining through the rainforest, horse riding across the beaches of Aruba and hiking exotic waterfalls you might just recognize from The Bachelor. Having opted for more active and adventurous excursions throughout the majority of our ten day cruise with Princess we decided our very last stop should include more than a little R&R.
If you’ve ever been to Jamaica then you don’t need me to tell you just how easy it is to see why Jay-Z and Beyonce consider it a favorite destination or why celebs like Mick Jagger choose to build private retreats on the island – logic tells me they find those sandy beaches, sparkling waters and warm locals as difficult-to-resist as I do.
After a morning climb at Dunn’s River Falls, Madeline and I set out for one of the most popular spots in Jamaica; The Bamboo Beach Club. Located right in the heart of Ochos Rios, this famous club can be found atop a stretch of beach considered one of the Caribbean’s most impressive – a widely held opinion which might just have something to do with it’s mile long shore line that just so happens to be studded with 100-year-old almond and palm trees.
Needless to say, this beach day was one for the books . . .
